The County Administrative Board has expressed a broad interest in structured collaboration with research and other stakeholders, including in sustainable development and other important societal issues, which is made possible through the partnership with Wexsus, where other sectors of society also meet and collaborate.
– We see great potential in Wexsus as an open meeting place for all stakeholders, where we can collaborate to increase knowledge and the ability for sustainable transition. That is why we want to participate in creating strategic partnerships in western Sweden, says County Governor Sten Tolgfors.
For Wexsus, the partnership with the County Administrative Board means a continued build-up of the West Swedish universities’ strategic collaboration with various key actors to strengthen each partner's competence and ability to contribute to a sustainable transition. In addition to the three universities Chalmers University of Technology, the University of Gothenburg, and University West, which own Wexsus in a consortium form, Wexsus also collaborates with the University of Borås, the University of Skövde and Jönköping University. The next step in Wexsus' partnership building is to formalize the partnerships with municipalities and associations of local authorities in western Sweden and thus reach out even wider.
